All Hallows' Eve

Beneath the dark sky dimly lit by the crescent moon, little ghosts, ghouls and goblins will be swarming the streets in search of something sweet. In earlier times, autumn festivals were held around this particular night. It was a time in which the souls of those who died were believed to revisit their homes. People would light bonfires, wear masks and various disguises to keep from being recognized by the ghosts. Since then, the night has evolved into a modern-day celebration.

In celebration, set the Halloween mood with ambient SP Lighting around your home. Even with spooky Halloween décor, the little trick-or-treaters will feel invited to collect their sugary treats.

And with Halloween on Sunday this year, make it a weekend celebration. Throw a Monster Bash in your backyard on Saturday night and hand out candy on Sunday night. As the Halloween host, you’ll want to fire up the barbeque and roast some spooky snacks! And when the skeletons, black cats and peering eyes of the ole jack-o’-lantern give your guests the chills, warm them up around the fire pit.

No matter what you do, dress up and enjoy this evolved holiday! We’d love to see what you and your family, friends and neighbors did to celebrate All Hallows’ Eve, so send us photos of your costumes, décor and more.

Happy Halloween!
