To the remarkable people at System Pavers: Larry, Doug, Leen, Wes and Danny:
It's not every day that we find companies like yours that are going the extra mile to give to the community. It was a privilege for all of us working on this project, creating a lovely yard for the students in addiction recovery and their families in Teen Challenge, to work with System Pavers.
I cannot say enough about the entire System Paver organization, from the top-who donated every bit of the materials and labor, to Don Durham, Pablo and the extraordinary team of installers who made this remarkable project happen, and to Maggie Clark who presented this opportunity and it's merits to you all.
New Life Church in Alamo, www.newlifeinfo.com, has a longstanding history of supporting the Teen Challenge organization with annual renovations and financial support, but this year System Pavers' overwhelming donation was really the key to making THIS project happen. Not only by donating the materials and the labor, but the guys on this job were clearly the BEST in the industry. Don Durham, your Field Coordinator was an outstanding asset. I can't sing his praises enough. He ensured that every detail was covered, all supplies and manpower were on site, and worked along side Pablo and his terrific team until dark. He was a genuinely positive and professional leader. Pablo's entire crew left the site at almost 9pm with the same smiles in place that I saw all day long. They high-fived me on the way out. I would go out of my way to work with Don, Pablo, their crew, and any from SP again. Clearly the best. Even Abraham, a friend of System Pavers who hauls material away, joined this cause and donated his services to haul on Saturday, and again this week for a 2nd load. I think that also reflects well on the quality of people that System Pavers works with.
I wish you could see the impact that this project will have on the families in this center. There was a terrific play structure in place for the children. NOW there is a gorgeous patio, an arbor for shade, benches for lunching and sitting near the playground (being made by a local Boy Scout troop), new trees, new kid-friendly rubber bark under their feet, new sod, new landscaping, new inspiration. This is a gift that will touch the lives of the families there for decades to come.
I speak for every volunteer who felt privileged to work with System Pavers, for the Teen Challenge staff and students, and for myself when I say that your generosity and good will, will not soon be forgotten.
Thank you again and God Bless you in your business endeavors,
Project Manager for the Teen Challenge Renovations
